For most of my life, owning a boutique felt like a dream meant for someone else. It was something I quietly held onto, never truly believing it would be my reality. After nearly ten years of working a full-time job, I had settled into what felt safe and familiar—but deep down, there was always something more calling me.

That “something more” found me in the most unexpected way.

One day, sitting at our camper at Presley’s Lake, surrounded by the simple joy of our little community, a group of kids gathered around me and said, “Mrs. Candice & Mr. Brandon, please open a boutique in our little town that boys can shop at.” It was such a small moment, but it hit me in a big way. Their words stayed with me. It wasn’t just a suggestion—it felt like a purpose being placed right in front of me.

In that moment, something shifted. Fear was still there, but so was faith.

In October 2024, I took a leap I never thought I would take. Delta Marsh Outfitters was born inside a small, 800-square-foot space, built with hope, uncertainty, and a whole lot of heart. We started with men’s and kids’ clothing, simply wanting to give our town something it didn’t have—a place where boys and men could feel seen, included, and proud of what they wore.

What I didn’t realize then was just how much this little store would grow—not just in size, but in meaning.

Today, Delta Marsh Outfitters has expanded into something I once only dreamed about. We now offer men’s, women’s, youth, and toddler clothing, along with a variety of thoughtfully chosen gifts. But what fills my heart the most isn’t the growth—it’s the people.

From the very beginning, my goal was never just to open a boutique. I wanted to create a place where people felt safe, welcomed, and at home. A place where families could walk in, slow down, and feel like they truly belonged. Somewhere that felt less like a store and more like a gathering place.

Delta Marsh Outfitters has become exactly that—a reflection of a community that believed in me before I fully believed in myself. It’s built on faith, fueled by love, and inspired by the very people who asked for it in the first place.

What once felt impossible is now something I get to live every single day. And it all started with a simple moment, a leap of faith, and a group of kids who reminded me to dream a little bigger.
