United Ways of Alabama

United Ways of Alabama (UWAL) is a statewide nonprofit organization that unites 22 local United Way chapters across Alabama to collectively address critical community needs. Serving as a coordinating body, UWAL enhances the impact of its member organizations by fostering collaboration, sharing resources, and advocating for systemic change.

Mission and Core Activities

The mission of United Ways of Alabama is to advance the interests of its member organizations by providing a platform for collective action. This includes coordinating discussions, studies, recommendations, and actions on issues of mutual interest. Key initiatives managed by UWAL encompass:

• Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Alabama Campaign: Collaborating with Hyundai Team Members to raise significant funds for local United Ways. In 2024, Hyundai Team Members and HMMA donated over $417,000, marking the largest contribution in the campaign's history. https://www.wsfa.com
