Alabama Pediatric Therapy Services was built on a simple but powerful belief: families deserve access to thoughtful, respectful pediatric care close to home, without judgment, and without unnecessary barriers.

Ten years ago, APTS began in response to a gap. Families in rural and underserved communities were being asked to travel far from home or navigate fragmented systems to get the support their children needed. Too often, care was difficult to access, hard to understand, or disconnected from daily life.

Rather than accept that as “just the way it is,” APTS chose a different path.

From the beginning, APTS was shaped by closeness—to families, to children, and to the real conditions of care in the communities we serve.

Growth didn’t come from aggressive marketing or expansion plans. It came because parents talked. Because therapists stayed. Because families felt heard and supported.

Over time, what started as a small practice evolved into a multi-service pediatric therapy organization serving multiple locations across Alabama. Occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech therapy, and learning-focused services grew not as separate offerings, but as connected responses to what families were already asking for.

APTS didn’t chase growth. It responded to need.
