The Southern Outfitter

In 2019, Joel and his wife Beth created The Southern Outfitter with a clear mission in mind. They wanted to bring something to Oneonta that the community didn’t yet have, a high end store with the kind of name brand clothing, craftsmanship, and customer focused service you normally only see in larger cities. What started as a 600 square foot shop has now expanded to nearly 5,000 square feet, offering the top brands of mens, womens, and kids clothing along with shoes, outdoor gear, gifts, organic food options and even tuxedo rentals.

Joel personally researches and curates every brand and product on the shelves and Beth plays a key role in shaping the customer experience. Their hands on approach allows the store to not only offer high quality items but also guide customers toward the best options for their needs.

The Southern Outfitter continues to grow thanks to the strong support of the community and Joel and Beth say they strive every day to build a place that Oneonta and North Central Alabama can be proud of and enjoy visiting.
