Affinity Counseling

After working in private practice for several years in Florence, Michelle Bolton opened Affinity Counseling in Russellville in August of 2021. Michelle has been assisting adults and adolescents reach their therapeutic goals for 20 years in various settings, including acute inpatient, community mental health, and private practice. She is very straightforward and direct, challenging yet affirming, and she is deeply interested in each individual’s unique strengths and hurdles. Michelle is proud to offer counseling in the heart of Franklin County, either in office or via Telehealth, where people can share experiences and explore issues in a nonjudgmental and accepting environment. Her counseling techniques are client-centered and drawn from dialectical-behavioral therapy, internal family systems therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, and neuroaffirmative and neurobiologically-informed approaches.
