Kiwanis Park

Kiwanis Park is located at 654 Main St S, Wedowee, AL; just south of the downtown Wedowee, AL area off of US 431. It is a heavily wooded park sprawling with mostly hardwood trees, winding creeks and abundant wildlife.  Alongside the wooded canopy are open fields with picnic tables, meadows, a picnic pavilion and much more.  The baseball field is large and manicured with seating for many.  Public bathrooms are available on site as well.

Near the picnic pavilion is the entrance to an idyllic nature trail that is part of the Alabama Birding Trail system.  This wide trail offers an easy walk throughout the forest.  There is a tremendous variety of hardwood trees that are labeled along the path. In addition, the trail contains multiple bridges and one covered community pavilion.  This space is perfect for an outdoor lunch or educational event.  The winding trail ends at the Historic Tractor Museum at the rear of the park.
