Dothan Goes Vintage for a Weekend!
If you’ve ever dreamed of spending a weekend surrounded by the smell of polished metal, the clink of vintage glass, and the kind of energy only a room full of treasure hunters can generate, Jake’s Antique Show, Car Show, and Swap Meet has your name written all over it. Slated for February 20–21 at the National Peanut Festival Fairgrounds in Dothan, this is where Wiregrass locals and wandering collectors collide over antiques, auto parts, and the thrill of the hunt.
A Weekend of Finds and Nostalgia
More than 200 vendors will fill the floor with everything from porcelain signs and military collectibles to automotive parts and retro home decor. There’s no need to rush: take it slow, chat with sellers, and maybe even trade a story along the way. When hunger hits, local food trucks will keep you fueled while live music amps up the atmosphere, making this less of a show and more of a social playground for collectors and curious visitors alike.
Saturday cranks the nostalgia up a notch when the New South Cruisers roll in for the vintage car and truck show. Expect gleaming chrome, classic engines, and a lineup of vehicles that make you want to grab a camera or take a leisurely stroll around the lot. Car enthusiasts will also find themselves in luck at the Dothan Automotive Swap Meet, where parts, curios, and hard-to-find pieces await anyone willing to dig a little.
Right beside all this energy you’ll find the Wiregrass Mercantile Market, which sets up in its own barn as part of the spectacle. This market leans into local makers and vintage vendors offering handmade soaps, jewelry, pastries, vintage clothing, and other goods that have personality and Southern roots. It’s the perfect complement to the antique aisles and roadside car setups, giving the event a richer, more local feel that’s worth a slow stroll and some browsing.
Whether you’re on the hunt for a rare find, browsing just for fun, or sharing the weekend with friends and family, this event is as much about community as it is about collecting. By the time you leave, you’ll have more than souvenirs; you’ll have snapshots of Wiregrass life, polished to a perfect shine.
